Soccer Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Sterling was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against the Liberty Common Eagles, falling 9-1. Sterling just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Rylan Eastin, who's now up to ten this season.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Liberty Common, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-2.

Looking ahead, Sterling will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sterling will be up against Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.25 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Liberty Common, they will venture away from home to take on Weld Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Common's defense better be ready for this one: Weld Central have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season.
