Volleyball Game Preview: John Ehret Patriots vs. Mt. Carmel Cubs + Official Tickets

John Ehret is 0-6 against Mt. Carmel since November of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Cubs at 5:30 p.m. Mt. Carmel took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on John Ehret, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, John Ehret beat East Jefferson 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel faced St. Mary's Dominican in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cubs fell 3-1 to St. Mary's Dominican. It was the first time this season that the Cubs let down their fans at home.

While Mt. Carmel ultimately came up short, they really made St. Mary's Dominican work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 27-25, 23-25, 25-17.

John Ehret will have to keep a close watch on Emma Palermo and Kyleigh Smith, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mt. Carmel's prior game. Palermo had 19 digs, while Smith had 12 digs.

John Ehret's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Mt. Carmel, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 28-3.
