Recap: Leyton Warriors vs. Garden County Eagles
The Leyton Warriors were the 62-44 winner over the Garden County Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Leyton took a 54-37 bruising from Garden County on Thursday.
Leading Garden County to victory were Wilsie Lobner and Logan Levick. Lobner scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Levick scored 18 points along with five steals. Levick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Wyland Lobner was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Leyton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Garden County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Leyton will be playing at home against Banner County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Banner County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Garden County, they will square off against South Platte at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (South Platte is ranked 213th, while Garden County is ranked 205th).
