Baseball Recap: Mounds Takes a Loss

Mounds fell victim to Chouteau-Mazie and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Mounds saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody York, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Connor Fisher also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mounds' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Chouteau-Mazie, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

Mounds has already played their next matchup (against Oilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chouteau-Mazie, they will welcome Porter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
