Softball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

If Independence was feeling good fresh off their 28-11 takedown of Bogalusa on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Independence Tigers lost 24-6 to the Hammond Tornadoes on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hammond, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 2-14 record.

Independence has already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Livonia on the 13th. As for Hammond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against Central Private on the 14th.
