Davenport waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Chewelah Cougars by a score of 48-39. That looming 48-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gorillas yet this season.

Davenport picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Chewelah, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Waterville at 4:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Chewelah and Mary Walker will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Chewelah is facing Mary Walker at the right time seeing as Mary Walker is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
