Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Union

Union entered their tilt with Sumner-Fredericksburg on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They snuck past the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars with a 65-61 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Union pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Union will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Janesville at 7:45 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Janesville likes a good challenge. Sumner-Fredericksburg also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Osage at 10:15 a.m. on December 31st.
