Softball Recap: Troy Trojans vs. Xenia Buccaneers
Troy waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Xenia Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Riley King made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amara Erbaugh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Amayah Kennedy was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
