Softball Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Piketon Redstreaks        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Unioto gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. They put the hurt on the Piketon Redstreaks with a sharp  10-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but Unioto sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
  Hannah Hull spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Alexis Book was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  double.  Ava Dettwiller was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Piketon's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Laney Brown, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base.
 Unioto pushed their record up to 13-3 with that  win, which was their 20th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Piketon, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unioto will take on Amanda-Clearcreek at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Unioto is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.8  runs per game  this season. As for Piketon, they will be playing at home against Huntington at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Huntington's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last three contests.
