Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chapin Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 last Wednesday.

Hillcrest now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Chapin, their record is now 6-4.

When Hillcrest and Chapin next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hillcrest will square off against J.L. Mann and their five-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chapin will try to stop River Bluff's nine-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Chapin 3.8, River Bluff 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
