Basketball Game Preview: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. Hermitage Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Glen Allen Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Hermitage Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glen Allen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.

Glen Allen will head into Thursday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Grassfield on Thursday. Glen Allen blew past Grassfield 70-36. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Glen Allen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Faron Friend led the charge by putting up 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Friend's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Brodey Harper was another key player, scoring 19 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hermitage challenged J.R. Tucker on Thursday. Hermitage walked away with a 59-49 win over J.R. Tucker.

Glen Allen's record now sits at 8-4. As for Hermitage, their record is now 6-2.

Glen Allen came up short against Hermitage when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 66-60. Can Glen Allen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
