Basketball Recap: Elida Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Jon last Thursday, Elida came back down to earth. The Elida Tigers fell 45-38 to the Tatum Coyotes on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Elida lost, don't look at Radlee Ferguson. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Ferguson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Wolf, who earned nine points and four steals.

Elida's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Tatum, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Elida wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-70 loss against Hagerman on the 14th.
