Softball Recap: Imagine Prep Coolidge Comes Up Short

Imagine Prep Coolidge extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 4-5. They lost 16-0 to Ridgeline Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Imagine Prep Coolidge of the 23-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Ridgeline Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The result was nothing new for Ridgeline Academy, who have now won seven matchups by 12 runs or more so far this season.

For Ridgeline Academy's part, Brielle Peterson was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Landry Conner was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Imagine Prep Coolidge will venture away from home to face off against Imagine Prep Superstition at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ridgeline Academy, they will square off against Maricopa Institute of Technology at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
