Newaygo typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Chippewa Hills proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Lions 3-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chippewa Hills pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Newaygo, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
