Basketball Game Preview: De Pere Redbirds vs. Wauwatosa West Trojans

Having just played yesterday, the De Pere Redbirds will head out on the road to face off against the Wauwatosa West Trojans at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, De Pere needed a bit of extra time to put away Milwaukee Academy of Science. They had just enough and edged Milwaukee Academy of Science out 75-73.

Meanwhile, Wauwatosa West entered their tilt with Wauwatosa East last Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Raiders 101-71. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

De Pere pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points per game. As for Wauwatosa West, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything went De Pere's way against Wauwatosa West when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as De Pere made off with a 51-30 victory. Does De Pere have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wauwatosa West turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
