Basketball Game Preview: Western Boone Stars vs. Cascade Cadets

The Western Boone Stars will head out to challenge the Cascade Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Boone is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Western Boone came up short against Sheridan and fell 67-56.

Meanwhile, Cascade strolled past Greencastle with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-48.

Cascade has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Western Boone, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Western Boone and Cascade were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Western Boone came up empty-handed after a 52-51 defeat. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cascade's Toby Savini, who went 9-for-13 en route to 24 points and five boards.
