Ridgeland has gone 7-1 against Canton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Titans will welcome the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Ridgeland took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They breezed past Callaway to the tune of 48-15. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Johnathan Henningburg and Ashton Gorden. Henningburg rushed for 185 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries while Gorden gained 166 total yards and two touchdowns.incredibly, Gorden got all that yardage with just one huge grab Trae Collins also helped with two TDs in total.
Ridgeland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 548 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

William Swanson

| 10/10/25 @ Warren Central | 9 |
| 09/26/25 vs Natchez | 5 |
Ridgeland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of William Swanson and Isaiah McClenty. Swanson has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Jordan Wright was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Canton scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 56-50 to Neshoba Central. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the defeat, Canton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaden Gee threw for 315 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 76 yards on only five carries. Gee's passing game has become a key predictor of the Tigers' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
Ridgeland pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Canton, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Ridgeland was able to grind out a solid victory over Canton when the teams last played back in November of 2022, winning 19-12. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
