Ilwaco and Naselle are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Fishermen will face off against the Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ilwaco has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ilwaco came up short against Raymond/South Bend on Tuesday, falling 20-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Fishermen in their meetings with the Ravens: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 23 runs the game before, Naselle was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 8-2 to Toutle Lake.

Naselle's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ilwaco, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Ilwaco took their win against Naselle in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 21-11 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fishermen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
