Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Riordan Takes a Loss

If Archbishop Riordan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Presentation last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders came up short against the Saint Francis Lancers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Crusaders have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Archbishop Riordan was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-22.

Archbishop Riordan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Saint Francis, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Riordan and Saint Francis will both be playing Archbishop Mitty the next time they take the court. The Crusaders will head out to face the Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lancers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
