Football Recap: Franklin Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Mount Juliet Christian Academy + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nashville Christian, Franklin Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 43-20 margin over the Mount Juliet Christian Academy Saints. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

Jase Toms looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 111 yards and a pair of TDs on only five passes. Everett Wandrey helped Toms out on the ground, rushing for 59 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Despite the defeat, Mount Juliet Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Romel Anderson picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown. Anderson was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 64 yards.

Franklin Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points over those games. As for Mount Juliet Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Franklin Christian Academy and Friendship Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Mount Juliet Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 20-13 win against Glencliff on the 10th.
