Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Natalie Claxton and Kourtney Harrington Lead Mary Persons to Victory

Mary Persons waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Howard Huskies by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Leading Mary Persons to victory were Kourtney Harrington and Natalie Claxton. Harrington had four aces and three digs, while Claxton had seven assists.

They weren't the only good server: Mary Persons was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Mary Persons' victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Mary Persons and Howard will both be playing Westside the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Seminoles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
