Hardin-Jefferson can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Vidor Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Pirates back in February, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Hardin-Jefferson's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 5-17. As for Vidor, they dropped their record down to 4-17-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardin-Jefferson will venture away from home to challenge Bridge City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridge City will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Hardin-Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Vidor, they will head out on the road to take on Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
