Volleyball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Wooster Generals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Ashland ultimately came up short, they really made Wooster work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 25-16, 25-17.

Katelyn Aber paced Ashland's offense, picking up 11 kills. Aber got some help from Arienne Vaughn and her 30 assists. Makenna Oslie controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Wooster, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ashland will face off against rival New Philadelphia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wooster is set to challenge their familiar foe Mansfield Senior at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
