Softball Recap: Hopatcong Takes a Loss

Hopatcong fell victim to Wallkill Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to the Rangers. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wallkill Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-6.

While Hopatcong had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
