Softball Recap: Ballard Comes Up Short

Ballard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Peninsula Seahawks.

Ballard got a big performance out of Wren Wald, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Elsa Sand, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Ballard's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Peninsula, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

While Ballard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
