Basketball Recap: Grape Creek Comes Up Short

Grape Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Wall Hawks 74-44. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1330th, while the Hawks are ranked 600th).

Grape Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Wall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Grape Creek has already played their next contest (against Jim Ned), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wall will head out to take on Merkel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Merkel likes a good challenge.
