Basketball Recap: Winchester Community Takes a Loss

Winchester Community was the 62-48 winner over Tri when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Winchester Community Golden Falcons fell just short of the Tri Titans by a score of 38-36 on Friday. The match marked the Golden Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Winchester Community still got an impressive performance from Lucas Tarter, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 12 points. Tarter is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Overton, who posted four points.

Winchester Community has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Tri, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Winchester Community has already played their next contest, a 53-48 defeat against Centerville on the 6th. As for Tri, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-44 loss against North Decatur on the 1st.
