Basketball Recap: Soldotna Comes Up Short

Soldotna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Wasilla Warriors, falling 73-41. The Stars were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Soldotna's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Wasilla, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

While Soldotna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
