Basketball Recap: Tikigaq Takes a Loss

Tikigaq lost against Chevak back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tikigaq Harpooners took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chevak Comets. The Harpooners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ian Chayalkun was his usual excellent self, putting up 13 points and three steals for Chevak. Chayalkun has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

Tikigaq now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Chevak, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

As of now, neither Tikigaq nor Chevak have any future games scheduled.
