Basketball Recap: Peshtigo Gets the Win

Peshtigo's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 58-53 W over Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Peshtigo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Peshtigo and Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Peshtigo (ranked 206th) will meet Gillett (ranked 63rd) at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. Meanwhile, Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy will face off against Almond-Bancroft at 12:05 p.m. on December 28th down 205 places (273 vs. 68).
