Volleyball Game Preview: Mesquite Wildcats vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

The Mesquite Wildcats will challenge the Paradise Honors Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Honors took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mesquite, who comes in off a win.

Mesquite took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Marcos de Niza by a score of 3-1.

Mesquite had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Paradise Honors didn't have quite enough to beat Greenway on Friday and fell 3-2.

Mesquite is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Paradise Honors, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Mesquite came out on top in a nail-biter against Paradise Honors when the teams last played back in March of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
