Basketball Game Preview: Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors vs. Spartanburg Day Griffins

Spartanburg Christian Academy and Spartanburg Day are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Spartanburg Day Griffins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Spartanburg Christian Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Greenwood Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a hard 55-38 fall against the Hawks.

Spartanburg Day hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They strolled past First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-50.

Spartanburg Day's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-14.

Spartanburg Christian Academy skirted past Spartanburg Day 52-50 in their previous matchup last Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spartanburg Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
