Recap: Franklin County Seahawks vs. Crossroad Academy Scorpions
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Franklin County Seahawks can now relate to. They fell to the Scorpions 55-50. Franklin County's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Franklin County lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Kembro. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Allen, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Crossroad Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crossroad Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Sneads at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. One thing working in Crossroad Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
