Syracuse gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Falls City Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-12 win. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Syracuse's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maxwell Parde, who posted eight points along with six assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Janssen, who shot 45% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Syracuse was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falls City only posted three.

Syracuse has already played their next matchup, a 67-44 victory against Fort Calhoun on the 6th. As for Falls City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-27 defeat against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 9th.
