Desert can  bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   5-2  win over the Silver Valley Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Scorpions: when they faced off against the Trojans  back in February, they had to take a  11-8  loss.
The team  relied heavily on  Alex Mendoza, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.  Gavin Terndrup was another key player,  earning one  RBI, one  run,  and three  stolen bases.
 Desert  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Valley only posted  an  OBP of  .308.
Desert's record is now 5-8. As for Silver Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
