Volleyball Recap: Carondelet Cougars vs. Dougherty Valley Wildcats        
        
		
             Carondelet won the last time they faced Dougherty Valley, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Carondelet Cougars were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over the Dougherty Valley Wildcats. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cougars.
 While Carondelet won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17,  27-25.
  Isabella Vertudez had a dynamite game for Carondelet,  getting eight  digs and three  aces. Vertudez is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted nine or more in the last 19 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Sophia Hylen was another key player,  getting 13  digs.
 Carondelet pushed their record up to 13-4 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Dougherty Valley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carondelet will welcome Foothill  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Foothill will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Carondelet surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dougherty Valley, they will face off against San Ramon Valley at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
