Greenwood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Line Mountain, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 16-5 win on Wednesday. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jacob Anderson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Greenwood got a massive performance out of A.J. Adlon, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Adlon has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Michael Hoy, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

The victory snapped Greenwood's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. As for Line Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will square off against Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Halifax will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Line Mountain, they will face off against St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
