Baseball Recap: Leo Comes Up Short

Leo and Marian Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Leo had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 back in March.

Devin Vassel made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Kyle Jones, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Leo's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Marian Catholic, their record is now 19-17.

As of now, neither Leo nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
