Volleyball Recap: Valley Center Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Valley Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs on Saturday.

While Valley Center won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23.

Addyson Martin paced Valley Center's offense, picking up 17 kills. Martin got some help from Kira Le and her 25 assists. Finally, Martin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Valley Center now has a winning record of 5-4. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Valley Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Cornerstone Christian on the 30th. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they have also already played their next game, a 0-0 victory against Eastside Christian on the 3rd.
