St. Ansgar came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Saints have posted since June 20th.

St. Ansgar's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Bishop Garrigan, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8.

Looking ahead, St. Ansgar will welcome Wapsie Valley on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Bishop Garrigan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
