Volleyball Recap: Easley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Easley can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Greenwood Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Green Wave not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Easley was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10, 25-21.

Claire Bivens paced Easley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bivens got some help from Kate Kelley and her 20 assists. Finally, Catherine Barrington kept Easley's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Easley's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Greenwood, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Easley is set to square off against their familiar foe J.L. Mann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greenwood will challenge rival T.L. Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
