Baseball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short

Hilliard Davidson extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 6-15. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Upper Arlington Golden Bears. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hilliard Davidson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Kocher, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Upper Arlington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

On Upper Arlington's side, Max McConnell was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave McConnell a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Seth Keyhoe, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Looking ahead, Hilliard Davidson will welcome Thomas Worthington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Upper Arlington, they will venture away from home to face off against Pickerington North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
