Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Comes Up Short

Santa Fe Christian saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell just short of the El Capitan Vaqueros by a score of 5-4.

Sam Carney was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Elijah Joseph, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Santa Fe Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for El Capitan, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Coronado at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for El Capitan, they will take on Christian in a tournament on Friday.
