Baseball Game Preview: North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers vs. Delphi Community Oracles

The North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers will face off against the Delphi Community Oracles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Delphi Community took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North Montgomery, who comes in off a win.

While North Montgomery's win against Greencastle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargin' Chargers skirted past the Tiger Cubs 6-5. The Chargin' Chargers haven't had any issues with the Tiger Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ambriz-Cruz has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another was Blake Welch, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Delphi Community didn't have quite enough to beat Clinton Central on Friday and fell 5-4.

North Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Delphi Community, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. North Montgomery has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game.
