Basketball Recap: Odessa Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Odessa fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Van Horn on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Van Horn Falcons 55-49. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 46-22 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Barlin Gloto continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Van Horn, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 19 boards. Gloto is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Kuliciah Wallace was another key player, putting up 20 points and four steals.

Odessa's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Van Horn, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Odessa has already played their next contest (against St. Paul Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Van Horn will face off against Smithville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
