Basketball Recap: Union Star Comes Up Short

Union Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 86-9 to the West Nodaway Rockets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Rockets are ranked 32nd).

Union Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for West Nodaway, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Union Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 86-9 loss against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 17th. West Nodaway will take on South Holt in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
