Volleyball Recap: Branson Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Branson had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Harrison Goblins 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Branson's got stronger as the match went on, holding Harrison to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

Harrison dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Branson will be taking part in a tournament against Republic at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Harrison, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on September 9.
