Basketball Recap: Dreyfoos School of the Arts Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Dreyfoos School of the Arts had lost five straight headed into Thursday's contest, but Tyson Jimerson didn't let it get to six. The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Jaguars really took it to the Village Academy Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-18 victory thanks in part to Jimerson, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 15 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts' win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Village Academy, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dreyfoos School of the Arts will venture away from home to challenge Morningside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Village Academy, they will head out to take on Glades Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
