Vincennes Lincoln is 2-8 against Jasper since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Alices will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Vincennes Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Vincennes Lincoln nor Evansville Memorial made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Alices fell 6-2 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Alices have lost by exactly four runs.

Olivia Lange spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Archer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Jasper was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They came up short against Gibson Southern, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jasper saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Aguilera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run was Aguilera's first of the season.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Vincennes Lincoln hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Jasper struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Vincennes Lincoln couldn't quite get it done against Jasper in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Alices avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
