Recap: Christiana Vikings vs. McKean Highlanders
The Christiana Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against McKean on Monday as Christiana made off with a 42-20 victory. The team ran away with 30 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Despite the loss, McKean had strong showings from Dolores Samson, who scored four points along with eight rebounds, and Alexis Barlow, who scored ten points. Samson set a new season high mark in blocks with two.
The win makes it two in a row for Christiana and bumps their season record up to 4-4. As for McKean, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Christiana will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Odessa at 3:30 p.m. As for McKean, they will head out on the road to face off against Hodgson Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Hodgson Vo-Tech is ranked 26th, while McKean is ranked 50th).
